The Golden Globes are back to shake up Hollywood.
After forgo this year’s ceremonythe coveted awards show is back on NBC, and nominations for the event 2023 were announced on Monday.
George Lopez’s daughter Mayan Lopez and Selenis Leyva from the series “Lopez vs. Lopez” and Helen Hoehne, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, held court at the Beverly Hilton hotel to reveal the nods.
The three submitted nominations in 27 categories for the awards show – which airs January 10 on NBC and will stream live on Peacock.
The 80th annual Golden Globe nominations were announced on NBC’s “Today” show.
The The 2022 ceremony has been canned after its voting body, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, was criticized for its lack of the diversity within the organization, as well as alleged ethical issues.

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael is hosting next year’s event. “We are thrilled to have Jerrod Carmichael host the historic 80th Golden Globe Awards,” Hoehne said in a Dec. 8 statement.
“His acting skills entertained and delighted audiences while providing reflective moments that are so important in the times we live in,” Hoehne said.
