Andy Cohen Reveals The “Secret Sauce” Of ‘The Real Housewives’ Hit

Andy Cohen has made a name for himself with Housewives.

“This is a massive cultural phenomenon that shows no signs of letting up,” Cohen said of the Bravo franchise, adding that he never thought the show would become as big and popular as it did. is today.

The television host and director also highlighted the importance of the Bravo brand — and how “The Real Housewives” franchise has been able to cultivate its own brand, alongside the network.

“The good news is we have a brand. I would say Bravo is one of the few TV or streaming brands that people actually care about,” he said, citing the 3’s ultra-success. October days. BravoCon extravagance.

NBC Universal (CMCSA) CEO Jeff Shell recently touted the relevance of Bravo at a UBS investor conference on Dec. 5.

For the future, Cohen, who is partnership with Amazon devices for the holidays, focuses on a litany of other projects – besides “The Real Housewives”.

Cohen told Yahoo Finance he’s committed to growing his late-night show “Watch What Happens Live” and recently signed a three-year contract extension with SiriusXM Radio (he says his dream guest would be Michelle Obama.)

The 54-year-old father-of-two will also co-host CNN’s New Year’s Eve special alongside Andersen Cooper for the sixth consecutive year.

Following a previous report the network plans to have a “less boozy” TV show for New Year’s Eve, Cohen said he’s determined to keep the fun alive through 2023.

“I think part of the fun of New Year’s Eve is watching me kick Andersen,” Cohen joked.
