Megan’s former best friend Thee Stallion spoke on Wednesday to shed light on what happened the night of 2020 when prosecutors say rapper Tory Lanez shot Megan in the foot – but stopped before testifying on critical details.
Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former best friend and assistant, dressed in all black and looked shaken during her testimony in the lawsuit against Lanez, who pleaded not guilty to three felony assault charges following the shooting at Kylie Jenner’s home in Los Angeles on July 12, 2020.
“I don’t want to be here today, it’s a triggering situation,” Harris told the court.
“It happened in front of a million people, with lies from Megan,” she added, later saying she felt Megan was not protecting her from suggestions that she had fired the gun or that she would have accepted silent money. In court, Harris said Lanez attempted to pay the two women $1 million following the shooting, but did not confirm, deny or elaborate on key details of the night.
Lanez also offered to give her the hush money by hiring a lawyer or investing, Harris said.
Through the few details that were shared, Harris said the comment that sparked Lanez before filming was when Megan told him he owed his fame to being “on a remix with Jack Harlow.”
Lanez, whose birth name is Daystar Peterson, was charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm, personal use of a firearm and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle – carried by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in October 2020. Last week, Lanez was also struck with a new charge of grossly negligently discharging a firearm in connection with the conflict. He faces up to 22 years in prison if he is found guilty.

On Wednesday morning, Harris consulted with her attorney as she considered pleading the fifth and not testifying on Wednesday. But after Assistant District Attorney Alexander Bott granted Harris immunity for her testimony, she spoke up and called the defense’s suggestions that she shot Megan “ridiculous”.
Harris denied shooting Megan
When asked by prosecutors if she shot Megan, Harris assuredly replied, “I didn’t.” Throughout her testimony, she reiterated that she never saw Lanez shoot Megan, contradicting her September 2022 interview with investigators where she said she saw Lanez shoot Megan five times.
Lanez’s attorney said during opening statements on Monday that the evening happened because of a jealousy feud between the two women over Lanez, and the evidence does not confirm that Lanez shot Megan.
Harris said Wednesday that she has known Megan, whose birth name is Megan Pete, since their freshman year in college, and that the two women met Lanez at a Roc Nation brunch in 2020. Throughout In her testimony, Harris said a source of tension between the two women was that Megan tried to set him up with Lanez after brunch, but later had her own history with him.
Lanez denied shooting Megan. Megane, who testified on Tuesday, claimed that on July 12, 2020, the night of a gathering at Kylie Jenner’s house, Lanez, her and Harris had an argument, and that Lanez threatened both women before shooting Megan.
Harris said it was “ridiculous” to suggest she shot Megan on the day of the party. She added through a reluctant testimonial that she and Megan had been at Kylie Jenner’s house, having a meeting with a handful of people before things took a turn for the worse later that night.
Harris finally said she took a drunken nap and woke up with the others in the pool, remembering Megan’s “obnoxious behavior and laughter” before they tried to leave Kylie’s house. Lanez wanted to stay, Harris said, and “was just conservative, flirting with Kylie.”

The two women left with Lanez’s driver, before Megan said she had to come back for a slipper, Harris testified.
“Apparently a fight happened in there,” Harris said, referring to when Megan returned to Kylie’s house. “‘Bitch, we gotta get the hell out of here,'” Harris recalled telling Megan as she left the house.
As they got back into Lanez’s car with him, “everyone is calling each other names, getting punched,” Harris said.
Harris told jurors that Lanez asked Megan to tell Harris their story, and then Harris called Megan out for her “disloyalty.”
Details of Harris’ testimony stop
Assistant District Attorney Kathy Ta then asked Harris if Lanez threatened her with a gun during the three-way argument. Harris, who sought to avoid answering the question, eventually confirmed that Lanez threatened her.
Ta asked Harris what Lanez said to her when he threatened to shoot her in the car, but Harris shrank on the stand.
Throughout the day, she demanded to see her attorney, attempting to argue the Fifth Amendment. When asked to answer the question just before the afternoon break, she paused for a long time and said, “I don’t know.
Harris went on to testify Wednesday, saying her initial interview in September 2022 with the district attorney’s office was “not 100% truthful,” although she didn’t elaborate on what she didn’t. was not truthful. Harris also did not release information about the injuries she told prosecutors she suffered after Lanez assaulted her that night, but did confirm that after the shooting, Lanez assaulted her. said “shut up, shut up, shut up!”
As prosecutors showed Harris photos of the blood-soaked backseat of Lanez’s car after the shooting, Harris said she was unable to verify who the blood belonged to, and that the audio was broadcast from a series of calls Lanez made to Harris from jail the next day, Harris said she wasn’t sure why he was apologizing regarding the previous night, as Lanez said he was “so drunk”.
In court on Wednesday, she declined to confirm who Megan was shot by and did not elaborate on a text message she sent to Megan’s security details after the shooting, which read: “Help. Tory shot Meg. 911.” In Megan’s testimony on Tuesday, she corroborated Harris and said Lanez offered him $1 million to say nothing.
“I’m neutral,” Harris said. “I have moved forward in my life.”
