Merakey implements measurement-based care with Greenspace Health to advance quality of service delivery

TORONTO–()–Today, Health of green spaces and Merakey, a leading nonprofit provider of behavioral health and development, announced that Merakey has chosen Greenspace to implement measurement-based care (MBC) across the organization to help them maintain their leadership in the industry, by offering leading innovative and efficient services. Their MBC implementation will help provide personalized, high-quality care to more than 50,000 individuals and families across the United States each year. Merakey conducted a detailed market analysis of technology organizations supporting MBC and selected Greenspace as best positioned to help achieve its goal of continuously delivering innovative, evidence-based care.

Merakey’s MBC implementation aims to improve the outcomes of its comprehensive service offering by creating a collaborative system of care. By doing so, all service providers will be aligned on how data is used in care journeys and have easy access to the information they need to understand their clients’ experience, identify areas for improvement in their programs and provide the highest quality of care possible.

Additionally, Merakey is striving to transition to a value-based care (VBC) model, in which compensation is tied to client health outcomes instead of the traditional fee-for-service structure (based solely on the quantity of services provided). This involves leveraging MBC data as a core component of its Value-Based Care contracts. Going beyond complaints data, Merakey can transparently share the effectiveness of its services through results data reported by customers, enabling them to advocate for better contracts and funding to support the high quality of care they provide.

Greenspace Health’s platform helps clinicians, organizations and healthcare systems use a data-driven approach to guide treatment decisions and achieve better clinical outcomes through:

  • Increased patient engagement

  • Improved clinician-patient communication and therapeutic alliance

  • Earlier detection of symptom/health changes

  • Improved coordination of care between multiple providers

  • Real-time evaluation of program results and effectiveness

“Merakey is an innovative organization that continuously strives to improve services and sets the bar across the country for high quality care,” said Simon Weisz, president of Greenspace Health. “We look forward to working with Merakey to leverage their culture of learning, enabling them to set internal benchmarks, improve clinical oversight, and inform consistent service quality improvement and innovation. .”
