‘Mini Metro’, ‘Marvel Future Fight’, ‘Horizon Chase 2’, ‘Bloons TD 6’, and more – TouchArcade

Hello everyone and welcome to the week! It’s time again to look back at the remarkable updates of the last seven days. Holiday updates are in full swing now, as there aren’t many shopping days left until the big day. That said, there are a few non-Christmas updates in the queue. I tried to get a good mix. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on things you might have missed. Let’s go for that!

Bloons TD 6$6.99

Bloons TD 6 has its mega holiday update for you to dig in and enjoy. Battle the mighty armored Behemoth, Dreadbloon. Discover One Two Three, the new card for beginners. Grab the new Sleigh Churchill skin for Captain Churchill to set the party mood. Revel in the majestic glory of new Trophy Store items, various balance tweaks, some small quality of life improvements, and the tasty bug-fixing Who-Hash.

A new update for Mini-metro usually means there’s a new card to play, and yes, that’s the case here. This time it’s Boston’s turn, with a stunning new map honoring America’s oldest subway system celebrating its 125th anniversary. Can you recreate the T? Add in a few bug fixes and performance tweaks and you’ve got a great way to end the year by the folks at Dinosaur Polo Club.

Fruit Ninja®Free

Nothing speaks to the ideal of the season more than a Christmas tree, and nothing speaks to the reality of the season more than a Christmas tree blade. See if you can earn this new blade in the Christmas Tree event and try to upgrade it by collecting duplicates. It’s the season to spill some juice with a well-placed slice. Decorate these hallways with gibs of fruit, just like Santa Claus would.

Temple Run 2Free

Temple Run 2 knows what it’s doing with the winter stuff, and this update certainly reflects that. You have a new Winter Toyland area where you can sled through the snow and enjoy the festive decorations. The new character Conductor Watty is reminiscent of that horrible CG movie starring Tom Hanks. There’s also a new Powered Pet in the form of the Aperion Express. All looks good for a holiday update. Yes, well done, Imangi. I’m sure you were waiting for my approval and now you have it.

Horizon Chase 2,

I like Horizon Chase 2. Just a great runner, though he plays it pretty safe in many ways. This update is the first big one, and it’s going hard. There is a new country in the World Tour, which takes you to Japan. Hey, that’s where I am! Complete Japan and you’ll get a new car called Dream. There are two new Master Tournaments to challenge, new control options, new paint job, improved car customization, multiplayer improvements, and a bunch of bug fixes. I will give this UMMSotW price for this week because of his shameless flattery towards me. Come on guys, you’re embarrassing me.

Sneaky Sasquatch,

This Sneaky Sasquatch I tried to hand us one again, but still managed to find the latest update information. This new version introduces a new chapter for the storyline which sees you trying to fulfill your political ambitions by becoming the mayor of the city. Befriend townspeople, customize the town to your liking, dress up your new friends in custom outfits and give them new names, learn some duck moves, operate a freight elevator and enjoy new upgrades of the user interface. It’s never a bad time when you dig in a new Sneaky Sasquatch update, and it’s not going to break that pattern.

MARVEL Future CombatFree

Oh oh, Jean’s eyes are red again. It never bodes well. The Dark Phoenix is here in this game-themed update. Fate of X comic book event. There’s a new playable character in the form of Polaris, Magneto’s daughter. You also get new uniforms for Jean Grey, Cyclops, Beast, and Angel. A new World Boss is here, and yes, it’s Dark Phoenix. Jean Gray gets her level 4 and Polaris comes in strong with a level 3. Someone checks in and sees if Scott is okay. Sometimes it goes a little… bonk when John is involved.

mortal combatFree

Well let’s see what the latest update for mortal combat has to offer us. Oh hi, new character. This is the MK11 Liu Kang Diamond. It brings new MK11 team synergies and decided to bring nunchaku into battle. Kinda rude, but I guess you literally have demons from hell involved. In the spirit of the holidays, we have Bo’ Rai Cho’s Divine Advent Calendar. From the 14th, check in every day for free gifts as Christmas approaches. Kombat Season 2 Pass is now available, offering a Sonya Blade Gold Kombat Cup among other rewards. There’s a new limited White Lotus Tower to challenge, as well as a new capital C challenge involving Klassic Smoke. Wow, that’s a lot.

Disney Heroes: Battle ModeFree

You know, there are probably some characters that could be recruited to try and do a Christmas-themed update this year, but that’s not how it’s going this time around. No, this time we get one of those whimsical characters from early Disney history. Cinderella joins the playable roster, and I’m definitely ready to see her kick some ass. She will certainly lose her shoe when she breaks her foot on the enemy’s behind. Bibbidi-bobbidi-BOOM. Oh, plus bug fixes.

Subway surfersFree

Another game that doesn’t usually lack pace when it comes to holiday-themed updates, Subway surfers is back surfing as usual with its Christmas event. This time the kids are heading home to Subway City, where they’ll enjoy the beautiful lights and winter wonderlands while picking up all the treats they can. Elf Jake and the new Snow Cloud Board are waiting for you. You can also dive into a North Pole-themed time attack, with Elf Yutani waiting for you at the end. Not enough elves? Elf Fresh is also available if you can collect enough Event Coins. There’s also a holiday calendar with even more treats for you. Not bad at all.

That’s about it for the important updates for the past week. I’m sure I missed a few, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think anything should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely have their own news throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to recap and fill in the blanks. Have a good week!
