According to the outlet, Seymour’s friends and agents encouraged her to return to work as a form of therapy following Harry’s death. For her last cover shoot, she chose to wear her costume.
“It’s always so nice to put your clothes on,” Seymour said. “I packed these huge trunks with all his stuff, and I have this idea that I want to keep photographing his clothes because I think he would love it.”
The youngest Brant was a rising model at the time of his death. He had appeared in Italian Vogue and campaigned for fashion house Balmain. He also launched a unisex makeup line with his brother Peter Brant Jr. for MAC Cosmetics.
Seymour said that as a child, his son enjoyed expressing himself through style. She described how Brant liked to match his outfits to wear to parent-teacher conferences.

“I would say, ‘OK, you can choose my outfit,’ and then he would go through everything, vintage, everything, he would put everything on the floor,” she said. “I would say, ‘Harry, I can’t wear a vintage couture dress to a parent-teacher conference.’ And he was like, ‘Why not?'”
“I remember when he was 12, I used to take him to meetings and the adults couldn’t believe his spirit and his maturity,” revealed Naomi Campbell, godmother to Seymour’s four children. “…everyone could see how special he was.”
Seymour said her grandchildren played a vital role in the family’s healing.
“I try to just be present,” Seymour explained. “For me, with the holidays, and I’m sure a lot of other people can relate, it’s hard now because I’m always thinking about what’s missing. There’s nothing that got me through it all. that more than my grandchildren.”

“…Nothing has given me greater comfort than these kids call me Grandma Stephanie,” she says.
At the time of Brant’s death, his parents told The New York Times that he planned to enter rehab that year. He also hoped to play a role in the creative side of Interview magazine, which his father publishes.
